Links and References.

Here are some links I've found useful, either to market my things, or to improve my understanding of the writing effort and the publishing business:

Authorlink  -- www.authorlink.com

These folks are serious about getting you established as a writer.  You have to part with some money, but for about $125, your manuscript is available to agents and editors for a year. Authorlink claims to have a 65% ms review rate.

The Editorial Department -- www.editorialdepartment.net

A fantastic place for the aspiring writer.  This organization is run by Ross and Renni Browne.  Renni's book, Self Editing for Fiction Writers, is simply indispensible -- a slim volume packed with terrific suggestions for how to edit your work and tighten it up for publication.  The free critique they offer on the first five pages of your manuscript is a terrific service.  They tell you what you need to hear, not what you might want to hear.
